WEBREATHE at Prawaas 4.0

WEBREATHE exhibited at Prawaas 4.0 in Bengaluru from August 29 to 31, 2024, welcoming visitors at Booth 110.

Passenger-counting data for public transport
The team presented WEBREATHE’s passenger-counting solution and discussed how passenger-flow data can help public transport networks improve efficiency, understand congestion, and support the passenger experience.
At Booth 110, the display paired product literature with information about the passenger experience. The event photographs show visitors gathered around the booth and speaking with the team, as well as the equipment and materials used to introduce the solution.
For bus operators, the starting point is a practical question: how many passengers use each part of a service? A ticketing total alone does not describe every boarding and alighting or show how the onboard load changes between stops. Automatic passenger counts provide another source of information for understanding those movements.
Using counts to review service demand
Counts organised by stop, trip, and time period help transport teams compare demand with the capacity they provide. Recurring peaks can inform a timetable review, while quieter sections may warrant a closer look at service allocation. These decisions still depend on local operating constraints and the quality of the underlying data.
Real-time occupancy adds a view of the current service. Combined with vehicle location, it helps operators see where passenger loads are building instead of waiting for an end-of-day report. Historical reporting then gives teams the context needed to distinguish regular travel patterns from one-off changes.
Our participation at Prawaas 4.0 brought these passenger-data use cases into the exhibition through the WEBREATHE booth and conversations with visitors. The gallery captures the team and exhibition activity at BIEC Bengaluru across the event.
