WEBREATHE at Innometro 2024

WEBREATHE took part in Innometro on May 21, 2024.
At the WEBREATHE booth
Visitors explored WEBREATHE’s passenger-counting hardware, a map-based software display, and product demonstrations at the booth.
The exhibition photographs show the equipment on the counter alongside a screen used to demonstrate the software. This brought the two parts of passenger counting into the same space: the sensor that records passenger movements and the interface through which transport teams interpret those counts.
Visitors could see the hardware up close, while the map-based display provided a view of the information beyond the device itself. The gallery records those demonstrations and conversations, including wider views of the booth and closer views of the passenger-counting equipment.
Passenger data for metro operations
For metro networks, ridership varies by station, direction, and time of day. A network-wide total can hide busy sections and quieter services. Boarding and alighting counts help operators examine those differences and understand how passenger loads change along a journey.
Linking counts to a location and service makes them more useful for reviewing demand. Historical data can inform capacity and timetable decisions, while live occupancy information can help operations teams identify crowding during service. Reliable data also gives teams a basis for comparing weekday peaks with other travel periods.
Innometro provided a setting to present WEBREATHE’s hardware and software together in that rail-transport context. Our exhibition presence focused on making passenger-counting technology visible and showing how the resulting information can be used by transport teams.
